About Us

Laura

Hello, I’m Laura. Sauna lover, outdoor swimmer, radio presenter, therapist, Mum of one, aunty to many…

Cold swims and sauna heat have been sustaining me since my alarm started going off at 3:15am for work. They were the only things that made me feel human - and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve enjoyed some of my favourite conversations in the sauna and become part of a sauna community.

Zoë

Hello, I’m Zoë. I run the campsite next to the sauna. I have a great love of the outdoors, gardening and having my hands in the soil brings me immense joy.

Immersing myself in our local, rural countryside, the woods and the farmland - there are few places I’d rather be.

I value community and connection with people; it’s something I feel strongly about with the sauna community we are creating.

How Wiltshire Wild Sauna Began

At the start of 2024, facing a very difficult health prognosis, I looked in the mirror and decided f**k it. My sister in law (Zoë) and I had been talking and dreaming about setting up a sauna business for about a year - now was the time to do it. We cashed in our savings and bought a sauna. I needed a distraction from cancer.

By mid-June, we’d transformed a small area of Zoë’s campsite into our ‘wild sauna site’. Friends and family helped clear and build the site’s base, sauna, shelter, fence, cold dips and website. It’s been a real story of hope and kindness. For both Zoë and I, this is a dream come true and we couldn’t have done it without each other and everyone coming together and helping.
